About Calvin
I'm a financial-services operations professional based in Toronto, currently working toward a career in cybersecurity. Over the past several years at BMO, I've built a career on discretion, precision, and reliability — reviewing confidential client documentation, supporting audit and risk-review readiness, and safeguarding sensitive information every day. I hold certifications in security fundamentals and identity and access management, and I'm most effective working with sustained focus on detail-critical, confidentiality-sensitive tasks.
I'm looking for an entry-level opportunity with a Canadian financial institution where accuracy, trustworthiness, and a security-first mindset make the difference.
Why Cybersecurity
Every role I've held in banking has come down to the same core responsibility: protecting information that isn't mine, exactly the way it's supposed to be protected. Reviewing client documentation, catching discrepancies before they become problems, keeping records audit-ready — that's security work, even when the job title says "operations." Certifications gave me the vocabulary and frameworks to match; my own IAM and cloud-security labs (see Projects) gave me the hands-on practice. Cybersecurity is the natural next step, not a pivot.
